What to wear on VDAY!
Valentines day is an interesting holiday, isn't it? Tons of people don't celebrate it, or do dinner with their girlfriends. Many women are spoiled the entire day with roses, chocolates, and even diamonds. And then there are the handful that spend the day disappointed and pissed off. The one thing all these women have in common? They all have to get dressed that day ;)
If you are like me and did not purchase a special outfit for VDAY, here are some options of outfits you can make from your closet.
Look 1: An easy way to look polished and sexy is to wear all black. Wear a black tee + jacket + shoes + heels. To add some sexiness, wear a lace piece underneath. I like to wear a lace bodysuit that is visible. Add your own accessories; choker, hoops, hat, etc.
Look 2: Every woman has a LBD (little black dress) -- you do, right? That little black dress that fits all of your curves just right. As Beyonce would say, your freakum dress! Pull that out, with heels and your favorite accessories. Throw a jacket over your shoulders for a chic and polished look.
Look 3: If your style is more classic, this look might relate to your closet! Pair with something a little sexy, a lace or a low cute blouse + a blazer + a nice pant + heels. Add minimal accessories. Let your date know who's boss!
And remember: all of these looks are interchangeable. Make it your own. Use what you already have to create your own versions of these looks! And for Valentines Day, do up the hair and makeup extra special. You want your date to be blown away (tip: they are already spending VDay with you, so anything you do will blow them away:)
I like to go glam, especially since I moved to NYC. These lace pants are from H&M and are actually for summer (they have shorts underneath the lace). I put spanx tights on underneath so I could wear them in winter.
